Dec. 2022 The University of MN Apparel Design Program completes a first run of 30 onesies to be delivered to Children’s Hospital.
Nov. 2022, an anonymous donation allows for the production of 1500 original shirts for donation to local hospitals. Volunteers Thomas Sebelien (Grandfather) and Ethan Tulkki (Grandson) distribute shirts to Children’s Hospital
August 2022, Orono students receive the Outstanding Student Community Award given by the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund.
January 2022 the student team reaches out to the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund for a continuation of the grant. The students are awarded a grant for production of the onesie design.
In spring of 2021 Cancer Care Foundation MN partners with the University of MN Apparel Design program and teams with 10 students to develop a prototype Onesie.
